Savento Tower – Optimize your SAP archiving
The software solution Savento Tower is an ABAP-based solution for better traceability of SAP data archiving. Documentation reports are automatically created and permanently stored at the time of the archiving sessions. In addition, the Tower Cockpit provides a status of all archiving sessions and thus enables easy and fast monitoring.
Currently, additional enhancements have been made at the request of some customers. As part of the implementation of SAP ILM, all ILM retention and retention periods valid at the runtime of an archiving session are transferred to the documentation report. Furthermore, additional documents for an archiving session can now be uploaded and a separate status management for archiving sessions can be set up. Finally, an enhancement option (BadI) was developed so that the customer can also implement his own requirements independently and flexibly. For example, an enhancement was developed that compares the archived data records with the data records actually stored in tables and issues a message if there are differences.
Many customers attest to the great benefits of this inexpensive software solution, which enables them to obtain complete documentation of the archiving runs without any effort and to be well prepared for a possible audit.
